Updated: 14 October 2026. This notice explains how Swimtowel (Swimdry) handles information when you use swimtowel.co.za, place an order, create an account or contact us.

Business name: Swimtowel (Swimdry). Business type: sole proprietorship.

Information we collect and why

For orders, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, products ordered, order history and payment status or transaction references. We use these details to process and deliver purchases, send order updates, assist with returns and keep transaction records.

An optional customer account holds your login details and order information. Guest checkout is available. Required checkout fields are needed to complete and deliver an order; without them we may be unable to fulfil it.

Contact and corporate quote enquiries include the details you submit, such as your name, email, company, telephone number, quantities, delivery town, message and uploaded artwork. We use these to respond and prepare quotations. Optional fields are marked. Please avoid sending unrelated sensitive information.

Website, cookies and third-party services

Shopping and account features use cookies and related browser storage to maintain sessions, remember your basket and support sign-in. Our hosting and security services may record technical information such as IP addresses, device or browser details and access logs.

Optional Google Analytics is off until you choose Statistics in our cookie controls. When enabled, it may process browsing activity, device information and identifiers to help us understand visits. Google for WooCommerce is connected to Google Merchant Center to submit our product catalogue for free product listings. Its Google Ads tracking is disabled. Google reCAPTCHA helps protect forms against spam and abuse and may collect technical and interaction information. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

Use the cookie banner to accept or reject optional categories, or reopen Cookie Preferences to change your choice. Statistics and Marketing start switched off, and your preference is remembered for 30 days. Essential shopping, session and security features remain available. You can also manage existing cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies can affect shopping or account features.

If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp or visit our social profiles, the relevant platform also processes information under its own privacy rules.

Cookie details

The list below describes the cookies currently documented for shopping, account sign-in, form security and optional measurement. Durations marked as provider defaults can vary by configuration. You can review or change optional choices using Cookie Preferences.

Who receives information

Authorised staff and service providers receive information needed to support the store. These include hosting, email and backup providers such as Hostinger and Titan, Payfast for payments, delivery providers such as The Courier Guy, and Google for the services described above. Payment processing is subject to Payfast’s own privacy terms. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to resolve a transaction or legal claim.

Some providers may process information outside South Africa. Such transfers must meet the applicable requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Retention, security and marketing

Automatic deletion or anonymisation periods are not configured for inactive customer accounts or for pending, failed, cancelled, refunded and completed orders. Requests for deletion are assessed against the purposes for holding the information and any applicable accounting, tax, dispute or other legal requirements.

We must take reasonable measures to protect personal information. Please protect your account credentials and notify us if you suspect unauthorised use.

Electronic direct marketing is subject to POPIA’s consent and existing-customer requirements. You may object to marketing or use an unsubscribe option where provided. Order and enquiry updates serve the transaction or enquiry itself.

Your rights and how to contact us

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your information, request access or correction, request deletion of information that should no longer be held, object to processing, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
